Hippy Hippy Shake

I went to my friend Amy's wedding this saturday, and it couldn't have been more lovely. This was the first wedding I've ever been to that I got emotional and teary eyed! Her and her now hubs have been together for 10 years so it was extra special.
I wore this Free people dress I got off Ebay for about 60% off the original price. Can we say BANDIT?

I love the embroidery on this dress!

Nailed it!

Getting my nails done is one of my favorite 'me time'. I get a pedicure every month, but hardly ever get a manicure, or a gel manicure for that matter. I love gel nail polish! This is a genius invention. Regular manicures last as long as it takes for you to walk from the salon to your car. Gel manicures in my experience last as long as 3 weeks. I love orange-red polish, that's what my toes are always painted. I opted the same for my nails. I did this special treat because I had a wedding to go to.

My cuticles are chronically dry so I need to nourish them about 3 times a day. Oil is a great choice because it really gets the cuticles soft, but if your like me and you need to apply something a few times a day this Sally Hansen Cuticle Rehab is perfect. It's great because unlike oil its not going to leave your hands oily and get all over everything. I do this while I'm at my desk at work so it's really convenient.
I love the brush head! It makes it super fast to apply. Also, this stuff smells amazing! It has a great strawberry scent and I have to sniff it every time I use it.

LOVE

Today I felt more particularly loved by God than most days. I asked God to give me some 'love notes' this morning. By love notes I mean, signs. I got affirming, sweet texts from my mentor and best friend, scripture that spoke to me directly and lifted my spirits and flooded my mind with light, and a sweet pep talk from my mamma that was so encouraging.

Lately, I've been feeling like my prayers really are heard. Not that they ever go unheard, but God has wanted me to know He is listening and has been quick to respond. There is so much love out there. God loves me so much.

There is no greater love than to lay down one's life for ones friend

The Italian

I created a list of staples in a Italian woman's closet. Italians are known for their style, which is very similar to French style. It's simple, minimal and timeless.

I love this quote. It's how I view style and fashion.

The ITALIAN Wardrobe

                                                 2. Cropped leather jacket

3. White shirt ( tucked in of course)

These staple pieces never go out of style. Trends come and go, and I can't keep up, so sticking to classics will always have your wardrobe timeless.

LONDON CALLING

So London, England is one place that I have been dying to visit. Actually, there are a couple places in England I'd like to go. I've been to the airport in Heathrow so that doesn't count, but London is somewhere that I feel sort of a connection to. I know I've blabbed on about how I love all things British so yes that could be it.

London seems magical! I love the fashion and the humor and I want to run around saying things like "Bloody hell!"
Sigh, maybe soon. Till then.

Dear Sephora

I lose track of time and my credit card in the black hole that is Sephora. I go in there for just ONE item, and I always come out with more. There is something about that place that makes you want to buy everything. You think you have the right make up, but OHHH no, you need this face powder that's new and has more benefits than the one you've been using, or look at this new eyeshadow pallet, I could paint a freaking mural with it! Let's not forget the endless array of nail polishes, and lip glosses, oh how I love to gloss...Today I restrained myself and got exactly what I needed, and that was a new Clarisonic brush head, not to exciting. Yes, I stared at all the different face moisturizers knowing that my Trader Joe's one isn't the greatest, yes I sprayed myself with the Dior Perfume and yes I contemplated getting new hand cream because this girl can't get enough hand cream let me tell you.

Here are some things I own and some that I want to own:

Sweet Jesus this is my favorite lipgloss ever. It will plump your lips and give you the right amount of shine, Dolly is my favorite color. I have two. I've also had nightmares of people stealing my lipgloss. Yes, I'm seeing a professional about this.

I've been a fan of this lovely tinted moisturizer for a few years. It's pretty great at giving me decent coverage and it has SPF which is a must. LM is great for olive skin tones such as myself.

I love gel eyeliner. I don't really wear eyeliner but when I do I wear this in the color Caviar. It's long lasting and easy to apply.

Welcome to skin care HEAVEN. The Clarisonic Mia is a mean clean pimple fighting machine! This doodad makes my skin glow, keeps break outs at bay and makes my skin super smooth.

I got the small size of this in a kit at Sephora and I don't want to go another day without this. It brightened my skin and it smells amazing. I will be purchasing this, oh yes it will be mine.

I've finally researched what the heck BB and CC cream are, and apparently I need it. So I read the reviews on this bad boy and it seems like a miracle to your skin.
This eyeshadow pallet makes me want to be a better person. All of the shades are so gorgeous and the pigments are bright and long lasting. I've only put this on in the store but the whole day whenever I got myself in front of a mirror, I was like WOAH THERE! That's some sassy eyeshadow.
